Erin's Fable

Erin was given an assignment to write a fable with the words heir, sect, toleration, persecute, geocentric, and heliocentric. After helping her with the definitions, and locating some morals to choose from, she came up with this little beauty...

Once there was a prince and princess. Both of their families called each other sects because they were from different religions. The Princes geocentric religion believed that their God resided at the center, the earth, looking out upon them. And the Princess' heliocnetric religion believed that their God lived at the center also, the sun, watching over them. They were both talking aobut how they felt it was their duty to provide heirs for their families. Also about how their children would be persecuted.

A couple of years later the prince and princess got married to different people. Neither of them were happy with their lives and had barely any toleration for it. As their miserable lives went on and on their children finally grew up and moved away. The children also had married. A few years after that their partners had passed away. The prince and princess, now king and queen, finally met up with each other. After their long journey without each other they had great joy in seeing each others faces. Even though they hadn't had long before their lives would be over, they made the best of it and put all of their troubles behind. The moral of the story is the worth is in the value, not the number.
